As has been expected for some time Nick Heidfeld has this morning been confirmed as the official reserve driver for the Mercedes Grand Prix team. The German had been in the frame for a race seat at the newly renamed Brawn outfit until the deal was done to bring back Michael Schumacher, and despite apparently having options on the table with one or more of the new teams, and speculation linking him to the Renault drive that has now gone to Vitaly Petrov, Heidfeld has failed to find a viable ra... full article
