Jules Bianchi Interview
A rising star talks to Updatesport

As promised, 2009 Star of Tomorrow driver Jules Bianchi who drive for ART Grand Prix in the Formula Three Euroseries, has recently taken time out of his busy pre-season schedule to talk to UpdateSport.

Paul Crossling - What moment did you enjoy the most in 2008?

Jules Bianchi - The moment I enjoyed the most in 2008 was when I won the F3 Master in Zolder because it was my first win and it was special for me because of my family career in Belgium.

PC - What was the biggest disappointment?

JB - Last race in Hockenheim was really bad for me because I won the race but because of the three safety car periods the race has been shortened and so, I was given only half point so I lost the second place in the overall standings.

PC - Do you have a favorite track you will drive on in 2009?

JB - I think my favorite tracks in 2009 will be Zandvoort and Hockenheim.

PC - Did you have any special training to get prepared for this season?

JB - Yes I do. I usually go in Italy to a fitness centre called Formula Medicine to get prepared for the season.

PC - What are your realistic expectations for 2009?

JB - Of course, my only goal will be to win the championship. I know that it will be really hard so I have to work a lot with my team on all aspects to clinch the title.

PC - When and why did you decide to become a racing driver?

JB - When I was three year's old my father put me on a karting. At the beginning it was like a game for me but then when I get twelve years old I started to think about it in a professional way.

PC - Who are your motor racing heroes?

JB - My heroes are Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa.

PC - How do you see your career progressing over the next three years?

JB - I don't really know... First I have to think about winning the F3 Euroseries championship then I hope I will be able to race in GP2 series

PC - What is your opinion on your three rookie team-mates in 2009?

JB - They all achieve good things in their championships last year so there is no reason that they won't do a good job in F3 Euroseries with ART even if they will have a lot to learn. I think that the team line-up is very strong.

PC - Do you have a special message for your fans on UpdateSport?

JB - Thank you very much for your precious support. If you aim to become a racing driver, you have to think about your goal all the time and to do the maximum every time you go on the track.

Thank You to Jules and all the staff at www.jules-bianchi.com for making this interview possible.
