FIA President Max Mosley is mourning the loss of his illustrious mother, Lady Diana; dead at the age of 93.
Diana, with a controversial and colourful past, passed away peacefully in Paris, her home for the last several decades, according to initial reports.
Lady Mosley was born Diana Mitford, a woman of great beauty who married Sir Oswald Mosley, a highly-controversial British socialist politician.
Mosley earned infamy with his role at the head of the British League of Fascists in the late 1930's, Both Oswald and Lady Diana jailed in 1940 for their views.
Diana was also good friends with Adolf Hitler and reportedly acted as a 'go between' between Oswald and the notorious German dictator.
Secret CID documents unveiled last year revealed Lady Diana, sister of the writer Nancy Mitford, as even 'more dangerous' than her husband.
Max Mosley once recalled that his mother was also friendly with Winston Churchill: 'He was more or less like an uncle to her,' he said.
'She was very, very close to Churchill. And she was friendly with Hitler as well; she was probably about the only person around who was!'
