Rain planned again for GP Sunday
Projected forcast could plague Canadian GP

Rain might add some more spice to Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix.

An initial 7-day forecast calls for cloud-cover all week but isolated thunder storms, scattered showers and temperatures in the low-20s await the weekend.

F1 drivers love Formula One's annual trek to Montreal.

'It's one of the fastest tracks on the calendar,' said Toyota's Cristiano da Matta, who has raced at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve both in F1 and in Champ Cars.

The Brazilian claimed: 'Everyone in the city really gets behind F1.'

BAR's Takuma Sato, who first travelled to Canada in 2002 as a Jordan rookie, said the contrast between the 'new' and 'old' sides of the city is 'beautiful.'

It's renowned as the calendar's toughest test for brakes and is also noted for the challenging 'Quebec' chicane and the tight and recently-modified hairpin.

Canada also commences the second back-to-back tour of 2004, but an even more challenging one than the seven-day break between Monaco and the Nurburgring.

'It's hard for everyone,' said Juan Pablo Montoya, noting the quick turn-around between two flyaway races even if they're on the same American continent.
