(GMM) A couple of top rung F1 drivers have sung the praises of female Indy 500 challenger Danica Patrick.
1995 winner of the fabled oval race, and a F1 world champion (1997) - Jacques Villeneuve - told usgpindy.com that Patrick's second row start is 'exciting.'
Patrick would be the first woman to win the historic Indy 500.
French-Canadian Villeneuve, 34, continued: ''It will bring a lot of attention, I'm sure she will get a lot of sponsors.''
Meanwhile, BAR's Jenson Button said he once saw Patrick racing a go-kart in England.
''She was fantastic,'' said the Briton, ''and doing a great job.''
The 2005 Indy 500 will be raced on Sunday.
