(GMM) Reigning IRL champion Tony Kanaan's long awaited F1 test for BAR will take place next week.
The 30 year old Brazilian, a close friend of countryman, former rival and BAR sporting director Gil de Ferran, will drive the car at Jerez (Spain) next Thursday in a link-up with F1/IRL engine partner Honda.
''Having this chance means a lot to me. I am honoured,'' Kanaan said. It will be his first taste of grand prix machinery.
