(GMM) 'Super Aguri' has not given up its quest to make the 2006 F1 grid.
Although the team led by Japan's Aguri Suzuki was left off the official 2006 entry list, the latest reports make no mention of the Honda-backed squad's supposed failure to lodge a $48 million bond with the ruling FIA.
Rather, news agency 'Reuters' said the team that has set itself up at Arrows' old Leafield HQ 'failed to complete the required paperwork'.
Ex-GP driver Suzuki said in a statement: ''Based on talks with the FIA we have decided to begin the registration process again.''
His business partner, Fumito Akita, added that he had spoken on the phone to Max Mosley, the president of the FIA.
''(But he said) the other teams have to say okay.
''That could be a little difficult.''
Akita explained that agreement was unlikely because a twenty-two car grid means less TV income per team.
