The A1GP round at Shanghai today saw yet more names added to the winners circle in what has been a successful and promising first season for the new series.
In the sprint race Alex Yoong, for Malaysia, converted pole position into a fine win despite continuous pressure from Darren Manning in the Great Britain car and series winners France.
The French car, with Alexander Premat at the wheel, dropped back to seventh by the finish, leaving the top six places to Salvador Duran, for Mexico, Michael Devaney in the Team Ireland car, Andrea Mikola for Indonesia and Thomas Enge for the Czech Republic.
The feature race saw the usual mix of action, thrills and spills as Thomas Enge made the Czech Republic the eighth different nationality to stand on the top spot this season, holding off Yoong for second place.
Behind these two a hard fought battle saw Ryan Briscoe and Matt Halliday finish third and fourth for Australia and New Zealand, with Adam Khan, of Pakistan, a fine fifth and series champions France, this time with Nicolas Lapierre driving, taking the sixth place spot.
