(GMM) F1's governing body has cancelled a planned meeting with twenty two teams that hope to secure a garage spot in 2008.
The FIA was due to sit down with the eleven prospective bosses in London next Monday, but reportedly called it off after several of the sport's current 11 teams had planned holidays for the April break.
It is also likely, however, that the FIA is motivated to delay the meeting so as to keep the identity of so many potential replacements for the rogue 'GPMA' teams close to its chest. The 'holiday' explanation doesn't hold water because FIA president Max Mosley has - in the past - proceeded with key meetings even in the absence of most F1 bigwigs.
A new date for the 22-team summit has not yet been scheduled, and there is some scepticism about whether one will be at all.
The FIA will publish a provisional entry list of twelve formula one teams for 2008 on 28 April.
