May 8 (GMM) Michael Schumacher, who won his second grand prix on the trot on Sunday, reunited with an old friend at the Nurburgring.
The German had invited his old physiotherapist, Balbir Singh, to the Eifel venue, and Schumacher's father - Rolf - was also making a rare appearance at a F1 race.
Neither will make the journey from Nurburg to Barcelona for Sunday's race, but Schumacher may enjoy a Spanish advantage anyway -- a new V8.
Title rival Fernando Alonso, on the other hand, must make do with his Nurburgring unit - which revved up to 19,600rpm in qualifying - but he said the disadvantage of running a race-old V8 is less than a single tenth per lap.
And Schumacher said: ''It's the two-race rule, and we make an engine that has equal performance for two races.
''(Therefore) I don't see this idea of advantages or disadvantages.''
