Tony Kanaan in Barrichello's seat?
Helmet swap for Brazilian friends

May 25 (GMM) Fear not, fans of Rubens Barrichello -- Honda have not replaced him with a Brazilian IRL driver at the Monaco GP.

Barrichello, 34, exited pitlane on Thursday morning wearing the helmet colours of Tony Kanaan, who this weekend contests the fabled Indianapolis 500.

Countryman Kanaan, in turn, will drive the famous 500-mile race in America wearing Barrichello's familiar red and white helmet livery.

''At the beginning of the year, I asked a friend (Kanaan) where he would like to race in F1 and he told me Monaco,'' Rubens explained.

''This is just because Monaco is so special and I think Indianapolis is special.''

Barrichello's former teammate Michael Schumacher, meanwhile, turned up for work in Monte Carlo wearing a special set of Ferrari overalls, featuring white stars, flashes of orange and the embroidered word 'Schumi'.
