Sep.27 (GMM) Cosworth's formula one foray took another hit on Wednesday when energy drink Red Bull announced the acquisition of Alex Hitzinger.
The 35-year-old German, who previously was Cosworth's head of development, will in November become technical director for Toro Rosso, the owner of two formula one teams said in a statement.
He will also be 'Head of Advanced Technologies' for Red Bull F1.
Hitzinger joined independent British engine supplier Cosworth, presently without a formula one team partner for 2007 after losing Williams, in 2000.
