(GMM) Heavy morning rain in Shanghai has cast a grey cloud over this afternoon's Chinese grand prix.
With less than an hour until the race, the heavy rain has now completely stopped but the circuit is totally drenched in standing water.
Light but unpredictable showers are forecast for the 56 laps beginning at 2pm local time, but the immediate question mark is whether the race should be started behind the safety car.
The cars left the pits at 1.30pm to form up on the grid.
