Former F1 racer Juan Pablo Montoya got his Nascar career off to a good start on Thursday by qualifying second at Talladega.
The Colombian was, in fact, less than a tenth of a second off the benchmark time which he admitted was 'surprising'.
However Montoya was quick to dismiss talk of an opening race win declaring his goal was just to bring the car home in 'one piece'.
