Oct.10 (GMM) Michael Schumacher experienced a second engine problem last Sunday after retiring from the Japanese grand prix.
It is reported that the Ferrari driver, who wanted to fly out of Suzuka directly after the race ahead of his test at Jerez this week, was stranded in the country for an extra night after a problem was detected aboard his private plane.
The news coincides with Ferrari engine chief Mattio Binotto's revelation to La Gazzetta dello Sport that the Maranello based team still has not identified the cause for Schumacher's smoky failure on lap 37.
"Perhaps we can discover some more when we look more closely (at the engine) at the factory," the Italian said.
Binotto therefore could not confirm speculation that the failure was similar to the problem experienced on Felipe Massa's race car in China.
