Michelin won't rule out F1 return
French tyre manufacturer leaves

Oct.23 (GMM) A Michelin spokeswoman has refused to rule out a scenario where the French tyre supplier might return one day to F1.

Following Bibendum's last blast at Interlagos, she replied to an email query about whether Michelin would consider a comeback: "Not in the foreseeable future perhaps, but this isn't an industry in which one ever says 'never'."

Michelin is pulling out of the sport in protest of the 'single tyre supplier' rule for 2008.

The marque's motor sport director Frederic Henry-Biabaud says: "I don't see the appeal in participating in a series on those terms."
