Nov.2 (GMM) Australia's only formula one driver touched down in Tasmania on Thursday ahead of his annual 'Mark Webber Challenge' to be held this weekend.
The six-day event starts on Sunday, and 30-year-old Webber - who lives in Buckinghamshire in England - vowed to prepare for the 600km charity event by staying in the local area.
He said in Launceston on Thursday: "I'm planning to have a lot of Tassie wine and cheese and get fat because I'll be losing a bit of weight in the next few days.
"I think I am fitter than last time," he added.
Webber will race against 47 sports stars, celebrities and big business executives in the disciplines of hiking, cycling and kayaking.
