Nov.23 (GMM) Spyker will name Christijan Albers' teammate for 2007 'soon', team principal Colin Kolles says.
The occupant of the second seat this year - Tiago Monteiro - is confident about retaining his racing role, but the Dutch team is also negotiating with hopefuls including 2006 Spyker tester Adrian Sutil.
"As I've always said, we have several options," Kolles insisted. "We will have a decision soon, I think."
It is understood that retaining Monteiro for a third consecutive season at the Silverstone based team would open the door to several Portuguese backers.
And Kolles said: "If you look at his races, he's always bringing the car home (so) if he can do this with a car that's two seconds quicker, then we'll be very pleased, because then he's getting points."
Meanwhile, Spyker on Tuesday announced that Dutch shoe brand Ferrini would sponsor the team with 'Quick Sports' branding in 2007.
