Dec.4 (GMM) After returning to the wheel at the Barcelona circuit last week, retired formula one racer Mika Hakkinen says he would like a second test for McLaren.
Despite the Woking based team's insistence that more driving duties for the Finn are not planned, Swiss newspaper Blick quoted the 38-year-old as staking his claim for another run in a silver cockpit.
"Of course I would like another test," Hakkinen said.
"If I got another chance, I would be stronger and faster. But I still see my future only in the DTM."
In the company of seventeen other runners, Hakkinen finished last Thursday as the slowest F1 tester. It turns out, however, that the 1998 and 1999 world champion always ran with a full load of fuel and used only a single set of Bridgestone tyres all day.
He insisted: "After five years out of formula one I am still happy -- the car doesn't have a scratch on it!"
