Apr.3 (GMM) Reigning world champion Fernando Alonso has expressed concern about the durability of Bridgestone's tyres at the upcoming Malaysian GP.
The Japanese supplier's Kees van de Grint insisted this week that the selected tyres - the hardest in the 2007 range - "can cope" with the expected heat at Sepang.
But McLaren driver Alonso, 25, told the Spanish newspaper 'As': "The tyres go through so much at Sepang.
"It's not only the heat as a factor but also the ageing track surface.
"Over the years it has worn away and every time we go there it is even harder on the tyres," he said.
