Barcelona rival wants Spanish GP
Pinto circuit ready for 2010

Apr.14 (GMM) A Spanish delegation reportedly met with Bernie Ecclestone in the Sakhir paddock on Saturday morning.

They showed the F1 supremo detailed plans for the proposed Pinto circuit, located in the southwest of Madrid, according to the newspaper Diario As.

The 5km layout is apparently penned by renowned F1 circuit designer Hermann Tilke, who is also in Bahrain, and the project could be completed in 2010 at a cost of an astronomical (US) $950m.

'As' claims that Pinto's ultimate aim is to steal the Spanish grand prix from Barcelona, who have a contract only until 2011.
