Red Bull in flexi-wing row
Rivals question RB3 legality

With the 'flexi-floor' saga only just resolved, Formula One enters another phase of scrutiny and accusation in the form of the Red Bull RB3 rear wing.

Although we are led to understand that no official protest has been made, reports suggest that the wing will be thoroughly investigated at the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. One F1 insider referred to the wing as 'the most blatant example' of flexing devices yet seen.

The FIA has fought a lengthy battle against illegal moveable aerodynamic devices, including the introduction of a mandatory gap device in the middle of last year intended to legislate against the planes of the wing moving in excess.

This season’s flexible floor debate, which involved practically all the teams on the grid, was resolved just last month.

With rival teams believed to be concerned about the Red Bull wing we expect the row to rumble on over the next week.

Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing boss, insists that the wing is legal, pointing out that the RB3 was passed at scrutineering for the Spanish Grand Prix.
