May 26 (GMM) A plaque to immortalise the late and great Ayrton Senna's dominance of the Monaco GP record book was unveiled beside the famous street circuit on Friday.
Prince Albert of Monaco, alongside Ayrton's sister Vivianne and his nephew Bruno - who is racing in the GP2 support race here this weekend - opened the memorial to mark nearly twenty years to the day since Senna won his first Monaco grand prix in a Lotus in 1987.
He went on to win it a further five times, between 1989 to 1993, and the feat is still a record.
Just two weeks before the 1994 Monaco grand prix, Senna was killed when his Williams speared off the Imola track in Italy.
