Jul.20 (GMM) Organisers of the French grand prix have not given up on bringing the historic race back in the years to come.
It is unlikely that unpopular venue Magny Cours will ever stage the event again, but the FFSA Executive Committee said in a statement on Friday that it wants to honour the contract with Bernie Ecclestone until 2011.
"The (Committee) has decided to implement a search for sites with a view to durably ensuring the future of the French grand prix," it said in a statement, amid speculation that Paris or its surrounding areas is Ecclestone's preferred location.
