Formula One is ready to take on the re-modelled Fuji Speedway in Japan this weekend, the Toyota-owned circuit replacing the much loved Suzuka as the Far East’s premier Grand Prix.
With a lap of just over 4.5km and a straight one and a half kilometres in length, Fuji provides an unknown quantity at a vital point in the title race, but it may not be the layout that is the biggest hurdle – rather, it may be the weather that throws a further unknown into the mix.
Although Friday is forecast to be fair, both Saturday and Sunday – the latter in particular – are expected to be wet days, with showers predicted for the former and an 85% chance of rain for the race in Sunday.
Temperature, too, may present a problem with very cold weather expected for the weekend.
Updatef1 will keep you posted over the course of the weekend, with live coverage of all practice sessions, qualifying, and the Japanese Grand Prix, plus reports and comments following the action.
