Dec.4 (GMM) Force India on Tuesday announced two key technical appointments; Mark Smith and Ian Hall.
New 'Design Director' Smith, who joins from Red Bull, and 2009 car project leader Hall, who comes from Toyota, both previously worked under the Silverstone based team's Mike Gascoyne in the successful Jordan era at the end of the 90s.
"I have worked with both since then, with Mark at Renault and Ian at Toyota, and I am sure that they will fit very well into the new structure," Gascoyne said.
Responsibility for the 2008 car falls to Akio Haga, who is promoted from his current position, Force India said in a statement.
Gascoyne also revealed that the team's Brackley wind tunnel is now finished and is due to switch to 24 hour running.
"With these advantages we now have a great chance to expand our operations and I am confident we can move up the field very quickly next year," he added.
