Feb.15 (GMM) Alleged Ferrari spy Nigel Stepney will shortly face F1's governing body to explain his role in the espionage scandal of 2007.
Amid the controversy last year, involving the transfer of Ferrari secrets to McLaren's chief designer Mike Coughlan, the FIA warned that the British pair would be pursued by their legal department and possibly banned from international motor sport "for a lengthy period".
Stepney's lawyers on Friday confirmed that the FIA cancelled a London meeting last Thursday because of 'flight problems' in Geneva.
The meeting is now expected to take place some time in March.
"Mr Stepney is very much looking forward to this postponed opportunity to put his side of the story in a legal environment, rather than continue to endure ill-informed allegations against him," Buckinghamshire-based solicitors Coyle White Devine said in a statement.
