Lewis Hamilton will start on Pole for the 2008 Australian Grand Prix with the BMW of Robert Kubica along side him on the front row. Heikki Kovalainen and Felipe Massa make up the second row. Nick Heidfeld, Jarno Trulli, Nico Rosberg, David Coulthard, Timo Glock and Sebastian Vettel complete the Top 10.
The session threw up some interesting times and if this is a thing to come this season we’re in for a belter!
World Champion Kimi Raikkonen suffered a fuel pressure problem during the 1st knock out stage and so will start P16, other notable positions see Mark Webber starting P15 following a front right break issue, his resultant trip into the gravel temporarily halting proceedings whist the stranded Red Bull was recovered. Fernando Alonso starts P12 and his team mate Nelson Piquet jr starts from the back row in P21.
The surprise of the weekend so far has to be the resurgent Hondas with Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button taking P11 and P13 respectively.
Force India will also be happy with the days work with Giancarlo Fisichella qualifying in P17 and his Team mate Adrian Sutil P19.
Temperatures are set to increase tomorrow so there are still some twists, turns and surprises to come this weekend so don’t miss out on the race what ever you do!
