To become the third manufacturer to top the time sheets this weekend, Nick Heidfeld has set the fastest time in third practice with a blistering 1:35.016 in his BMW.
The German was closely followed by the Ferrari pair of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa, with Jarno Trulli in the Toyota and the Red Bull Racing pair of Mark Webber and David Coulthard rounding out the top six.
Lewis Hamilton found himself in eleventh place almost a full second off of Nick Heidfeld's pace.
