Jun.11 (GMM) Former Toyota formula one team boss Ove Andersson has been killed in a classic rally crash.
The Swede, originally a competitive world rally driver and winner, and later a team owner and boss of Toyota's rally and Le Mans efforts, was 70 when he died on Wednesday.
He led Toyota into formula one in 2002, retiring in 2003 but remaining as a consultant to the Cologne based outfit.
Andersson was driving a classic car in the Milligan Vintage Trial this week when he had a frontal collision around a blind corner, a media statement of condolence released by Toyota said.
