Jun.21 (GMM) Championship leader Robert Kubica on Saturday confirmed that he has not yet clarified his future with the BMW-Sauber team.
It is believed that a contract option exists for the 23-year-old Pole to have his stay at the Hinwil based team extended for 2009.
BMW motor sport director Mario Theissen recently admitted that Kubica's performances this year have attracted "covetous glances" from elsewhere in the paddock, but he does not intend to settle the driver question for a few more weeks.
"We're not talking about next year yet because there is a long way to go and still I think, at least for me, and for BMW it's not necessary to have a deal already done," Kubica said at Magny-Cours.
"We have time," he added.
