Aug.28 (GMM) Alongside Sebastien Buemi and Takuma Sato, Super Aguri refugee Anthony Davidson may also be given an evaluation test drive by the Toro Rosso team at the southern Spanish circuit Jerez next month.
In the local newspaper Gulf Daily News, Red Bull tester and GP2 driver Buemi's Bahrain-based uncle Humbert said the Swiss is "excited" about his forthcoming Jerez ride.
"We believe that he is ready for the challenge and he is looking forward to doing well at the tests," he added.
In the same report, Gulf Daily News claimed that Japanese 31-year-old Sato is not the only former Super Aguri racer also in the running for a 2009 Toro Rosso seat.
The newspaper also said Davidson, who is 29, is a contender.
"They are (all) expected to get separate tests in the Toro Rosso car," Gulf Daily News reporter Patrick Salomon said.
