Sep.5 (GMM) Robert Kubica was reportedly very unhappy after Friday's opening practice session at Spa-Francorchamps, after learning mechanics had set incorrect settings on his BMW-Sauber.
Reports from Polish television TVN24 say the 23-year-old Montreal race winner used "harsh words" over the radio when learning of the error, which left him with an ill-handling car.
Despite the mix-up, Kubica was still faster than teammate Nick Heidfeld, recording a time of 1:49.139 to beat the German by less than a tenth of a second.
Heidfeld was then narrowly ahead in the ultimate afternoon session, the two F1.08 single seaters tenth and eleventh in the field of 20.
