Alonso hopes Massa beats Hamilton
Bad blood still?

Sep.21 (GMM) Former double world champion Fernando Alonso has thrown his weight behind Felipe Massa's title campaign.

The Spaniard, who last year spent a difficult year at McLaren, told his local press at the weekend: "I would prefer if Massa wins, because if he does not, Hamilton will."

27-year-old Alonso's comments were met with laughter and applause from a packed press conference in Spain.

He continued: "The truth is that it is very difficult to predict, because they are virtually tied. If I had to bet money I would put it on Lewis, because throughout the year he was the most consistent."
