Oct.10 (GMM) Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its willingness to partner with a customer team or two in formula one.
Amid rumours of talks with Force India about engine and KERS supply for 2009, the German news agency SID reports that alliances with Williams and Red Bull might also be possibilities.
"We have made clear for a long time our readiness to cooperate with a second and possibly also a third team," Mercedes' Norbert Haug is quoted as saying in Fuji Speedway.
He said talks with "several teams" are taking place.
Haug would not specifically confirm that Force India, whose contractual relationship with Ferrari is set to continue in 2009, is among those teams.
