
Nov.26 (GMM) Toyota will forgo an official launch for its 2009 single seater, the Japanese team announced on Wednesday.
It was confirmed that the Cologne based squad will reveal studio images of the TF109 on 15 January, but not proceed with a traditional media event.
In a statement, Toyota said the decision is designed "to emphasise its commitment to overall cost reduction" in F1.
With Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock present, the 2009 car will be tested for the first time on 20 January, at the new Algarve circuit in Portugal.
