The first launch of the new year took place at Mugello, Italy, this morning when Ferrari unveiled the car they hope will bring the title to Felipe Massa or Kimi Raikkonen.
The F60 - named not in deference to the road going F40 and F50, but as a celebration of Ferrari's participation in every one of the sixty years of the World Championship - is not, according to Aldo Costa, an evolution of last years and features an extremely tightly trimmed rear end as is expected with the new regulations.
Carrying a tall and thin rear wing and low and wide front wing the F60 looked odd in comparison to recent years cars, and the lack of aerodynamic add-ons, also stipulated by the new rules, gives an overall cleaner look to the car.
The F60 is scheduled to run later today, the launch having been moved from Fiorano to Mugello thanks to the weather.
