Bourdais set for Jerez test return
Frenchman closer to seat

Feb.5 (GMM) Sebastien Bourdais is set to return the cockpit of a Toro Rosso next week, in another sign that he will be retained by the team for 2009.

It was reported recently that, despite the Red Bull-owned team's consideration of alternatives including Takuma Sato and Bruno Senna, 29-year-old Bourdais will shortly be confirmed for the forthcoming season.

On Thursday, it emerged that the Frenchman is scheduled to drive on two days of the Jerez test next week, and a team spokesperson sounded confident about Bourdais' future.

"Things are looking pretty good (for Bourdais)," the spokesperson told Manipe F1, "and there should be a decision soon."

Toro Rosso has already confirmed Sebastien Buemi, who will also test for two days at Jerez next week, for the 2009 season.
