Apr.22 (GMM) Force India will use an 'interim diffuser' for its 2009 car at this weekend's Bahrain grand prix, team head Vijay Mallya has revealed.
He said the component is part of a "significant aerodynamic upgrade" for the race in the Persian gulf, including a new floor, revised front wing and "reprofiled sidepods to incorporate the amended rear end".
Giancarlo Fisichella, who stopped over in Dubai prior to travelling to Bahrain, said: "We know where we need to improve, we are missing a lot of downforce and it shows, but now we have started to introduce new upgrades I am hopeful we can start to fix this problem."
