A1GP Team Ireland have today become champions of A1GP season 2008/2009, the first to use the brand new cars and engines inspired by the 2004 Ferrari Formula One car.
Driver Adam Carroll won both of todays races at Brands Hatch from pole position to defeat rivals Filipe Albuquerque of Team Portugal and Neel Jani of Team Switzerland to win the first International Motor Racing Championship for an Irish driver.
With his sucess he follows in the footsteps of former champions Team France, Team Germany and outgoing champions Team Switzerland.
