May 22 (GMM) The meeting of the formula one teams association FOTA is underway, ahead of the crucial gathering involving Max Mosley and Luca di Montezemolo later on Friday.
The sport's team bosses were spotted travelling in dinghies from the Monaco harbour to Flavio Briatore's moored triple-storey superyacht Force Blue, before they sat down for a pre-meeting lunch.
Montezemolo, the Ferrari president and FOTA chairman, is expected to be present for this afternoon's meeting with Mosley.
Mosley told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he hopes Friday's meeting is more productive than a week ago in London.
"It is a shame that two teams (Ferrari and Toyota) did not want to discuss a compromise last Friday. Instead, they tried to convince the others to walk out.
"I hope that in the presence of Luca, now things will become more constructive," the Briton added.
