Timo Glock, who drove for Toyota in the 2009 season, has joined the new Manor team for 2010. Glock had previously been linked with a move to Renault following the withdrawal of Toyota with immediate effect, and the switch to manor may come as something of a surprise to many.
The news follows the announcement that another new team, Campos Meta, has signed Bruno Senna to drive and confirmation from the Lotus team that they have signed an as yet un-named driver, believed by many to be the other Toyota refugee Jarno Trulli.
Manor, who are believed to have enticed Richard Branson’s Virgin group away from Brawn as title sponsors for the coming season, will be well placed to benefit from the experience that Glock brings with him
Further news and comment will follow.
