Jan.4 (GMM) The Tribune de Grande Instance will on Tuesday declare the outcome of Flavio Briatore and Pat Symonds' legal bid to overturn their bans from motor racing.
The Paris court heard the case, instigated by ousted Renault boss Briatore who was banned by the FIA for life over the so-called crashgate scandal, and supported by the team's engineering director Symonds who was banned for five years, in November.
As well as the annulment of his ban, which would likely safeguard his role with the English football club Queens Park Rangers, 59-year-old Briatore is seeking 1 million euros in damages.
Stefano Domenicali said in an interview with Italy's La Stampa shortly after Christmas that he thought the pair's co-conspirator Nelson Piquet "should not be allowed to return (to F1) after what he did".
The Ferrari boss also predicted that Briatore will not be readily welcomed back to the paddock.
"People don't like reheated soup -- he will have to find another opportunity," said the Italian.
