The run in to the new season continued this morning as McLaren unveiled their 2010 challenger, the MP4-25, at the headquarters of sponsor Vodafone in Newbury.
The car was unveiled by World Champion Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton in front of the assembled press and features a shark fin style engine cover similar to that run by Red Bull, and others, last season. Unlike the new Ferrari F10 – and the briefly seen Williams FW-32 – the front end treatment does not appear to be a replica of the Red Bull RB5 but is more akin to that of last year’s McLaren MP4-24.
The Mercedes powered car will have its first run at Valencia on Monday when Gary Paffett will take the wheel, with the race drivers having a day each following the opening day.
Pictures to follow.
