Lotus unveiled its 2012 challenger – named the E30 – on Sunday in a live online event. The black and gold machine from the team formerly known as Renault carries sponsorship from Total, as last year, and also from two brands from the Unilever family, Rexona and Clear, an anti-perspirant and a shampoo, both aimed at men.
The car features, as expected, the now familiar ‘stepped nose’ although it must be said this version appears more elegant than that seen on the Ferrari, Force India and Caterham.
Today (Monday) the new cars continue to appear with Red Bull, STR and Sauber all due to show their new machines before the first day of testing tomorrow.
