World Champions Red Bull and the Swiss Sauber team have become the latest to unveil their 2012 F1 contenders to the worlds press.
The Red Bull RB8 features a stepped nose design, as does the Sauber C31, but the Adrian Newey designed machine looks to have a different treatment where the step section appears.
The Red Bull launch was notably low key and appeared to have been orchestrated in order that little of the car could be closely examined, but there does seem to be an opening where the vent is, something that others have reported on the Sauber but which we have yet to confirm.
Aerodynamic innovations are expected to be the main talking point in F1 as the first test kicks off at Jerez tomorrow, and the STR team is also due to launch its new car today (Monday).
All teams bar Marussia will be present at the test, with HRT and Mercedes taking their 2011 cars.
