How to customise your code...-
UpdateF1's Javascript headline trackers offer webmasters the ability to be able to customise both the appearance of the feed and the news it displays.
Changing the look and feel of your tracker is as simple as editing the stylesheet included in the code above.
To customise the news displayed, a number of variables can be added to the scriptÕs query string.
Headlines: The number of headlines the tracker should display (A maximum of 25)
Preview: A one-line preview of each article. Set to 'on' to activate.
Keyword: Restricts the headlines displayed to a given topic (Maximum of 75 characters)
Images: Displays an image with each of the headlines. Set to 'on' to activate.
To use these options, modify the URL in the source of the javascript (<script language="javascript" src="URL">)
The below example displays 15 headlines, with a preview and images, about McLaren.
...jsHeadlines.php?headlines=15&preview=on&images=on&keyword=McLaren.
If you have any troubles using the script, please feel free to request help through the online contact form.
Notice: Webmasters that use the provided scripts should be aware that we can not guarantee the code will not change in the future. Should we need to make changes a notice will be placed in the Announcements section of the forum at least two months before modifications are made.
